Peter Leeson

Peter Leeson is the founder and director of Q:PIT Ltd, based in England. He has nearly 40 experience in the software industry, is a visiting scientist with the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA). He is an internationally renowned speaker, instructor, consultant and process appraiser.

After spending many years being a process improvement consultant, Peter has focused more and more on the need for job satisfaction and the feeling of achievement as the ultimate key to quality, which means lower time to market and lower costs. Peter has worked in nearly every continent (still missing South America and Antarctica), and believes that any change for the better in an organization has to be deeply rooted in the culture of the country, the organization and the team.

Alex Ionescu

Alex Ionescu is the founder of Winsider Seminars & Solutions Inc., specializing in low-level system software for administrators and developers as well as reverse engineering and security trainings for various organizations and is a coauthor of the Windows Internals series.

From 2003-2007, Alex was the lead kernel developer for ReactOS, an open source clone of Windows XP/Server 2003 written from scratch, for which he wrote most of the Windows NT–based kernel. During his studies in Computer Science, Alex worked at Apple on the iOS kernel, boot loader, firmware, and drivers on the original core platform team behind the iPhone, iPad and AppleTV. Returning to his Windows security roots, Alex is now Chief Architect at CrowdStrike, a security startup focused on nation-state adversaries and other highly sophisticated actors.

Alex continues to be very active in the security research community, discovering and reporting several vulnerabilities related to the Windows kernel and presenting talks at conferences such as Blackhat, Breakpoint, SyScan, and Recon. His work has led to the fixing of many critical kernel vulnerabilities, as well as to over a few dozen non-security bugs.

David Giard
Tech Evangelist

David Giard is a former accountant and a former biochemist, who has been developing solutions using Microsoft technologies for over 2 decades. Currently, David helps people build solutions in his role as a Microsoft Technical Evangelist. David has been very active in the developer community, speaking at numerous major conferences, code camps, and user groups; helping to lead user groups; and helping to organize conferences and other geek events.

Raffaele Rialdi

Raffaele Rialdi is a senior Software Architect working as a consultant, speaker and trainer. Since 2003 he is a Microsoft MVP in the Developer Security category and part of the Microsoft Developer Guidance Advisory Council. His passion for the community brought him to be member of the board of UGIdotNET, president of DotNetLiguria and co-founder of the Italian C++ user groups.

Currently he is driving and developing projects using C# and C++ languages in both WinRT and desktop environments.

Jonathan "J" Tower

Jonathan Tower --or J. as he is known-- is a senior software architect at Falafel Software, a consulting and training company based in Silicon Valley, California. J. loves the creative and problem-solving aspects of software development and has fifteen years of software development experience in industries including e-commerce, procurement, marketing, logistics, quality assurance, and manufacturing. Alessandro is currently an MVP on ASP .Net / Internet Information Services and a Windows Azure Insider, holds a master in computer science, various certifications in the IT domain (MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, RHCE) and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). He enjoys doing technical speeches, developing open source projects and participating in the IT community life in general.

Ciprian Jichici

Ciprian Jichici is participating in the Microsoft Regional Directors Program as a Regional Director for Romania and has been involved for the past 16 years in many enterprise-scale technology-related projects, workshops and presentations. Ciprian is also a Solutions Architect MVP focusing especially on architectural issues related to the Microsoft Application Platform.

He splits his time between delivering workshops and presentations on technologies and platforms that are part of the Microsoft Application Platform and doing academic research in the field of data mining in preparation of his PhD thesis. Ciprian is the General Manager of Genisoft, a consultancy, training, and services company based in Timisoara, Romania.

Adrian Stoian

Adrian Stoian is an IT Trainer and Consultant at TechReady, specializing on systems management and virtualization solution with a focus on System Center family. Adrian is a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1998 and enjoys explaining how to plan, implement and operate IT solutions.

Since 2009 he was awarded Microsoft MVP on System Center Configuration Manager. Whenever he has time, Adrian likes to go mountain biking.

Cristian Lefter

Cristian Lefter is one of the SQL Server MVPs and as a primary competence he is a technical trainer. He is also a consultant, author, speaker and community leader. As his main expertise is Microsoft SQL Server, which resulted in founding an official PASS chapter, writing books and articles, contributing at the development of Microsoft Official Courseware, authoring certification exams, speaking at technical events and working as a Subject Matter Expert in various projects.

For the moment, he is the team leader of the Business Intelligence Development Team at Ubisoft, one of the largest video game companies in the world. Outside technology, Cristian is very passionate about public speaking being the founder and currently the president of a Toastmasters Club.

Valy Greavu

Valy Greavu (MVP, MCP, MOS, PhD) is a lecturer at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania since October 2006. His first contact with IT world was in October, 1998 when he began a PhD programme and was also hired as network technician. Currently, he is well recognized as an IT Romanian professional and works as consultant for financial, private and public institutions. He specializes in complex systems design, Windows networking, systems management, security, messaging and computer forensic. The highest aspects of his expertise are in Internet Banking security and ISO 27001:2005 Standard.

Valy is co-author of Local Area Networks. Design and Administration (2003, 2006) and Windows Networks. Servers and Clients (2004). In 2005, he was a finalist at Imagine Cup, IT invitational (Yokohama, Japan) and in 2006 he won second place in the final round of the same competition (New Delhi, India).

In his personal life, Valy tries hard to be a good father, allocating as much as possible time to his daughters and to his wife. His biggest hobby is soccer: both playing and watching it.

Tiberiu Covaci

Before moving back to Romania in 2012, Tiberiu Covaci lived with his family in Sweden and Bermuda for 16 years. He founded Many-core, a company that trained and mentored developers and architects around the world to understand the .NET Framework and the technologies built on top of .NET. He works closely with Microsoft as member of the Developer Guidance Council, course Author, and Technology Reviewer for the Microsoft .NET Official Curriculum courses.

He is a member of the ASP Insider and Telerik Insider groups, IASA Speaker & Trainer, INETA Speaker and Country Lead, founding member of IASA Sweden and IASA Romania, and former member of the MCT Advisory Council. He is interested in technologies like ASP.NET (WebForms, MVC, WebApi), multi-core and asynchronous programming, new programming languages and trends.

For his contributions in the area of Technical Computing he was awarded the MVP title by Microsoft and Telerik.

Tiberiu Radu

Tiberiu Radu is a Senior Consultant with Microsoft Romania, where he started as a MACH hire on the Enterprise Services team. Microsoft Academy for College Hires (MACH) means that prior to Microsoft he had little experience, joining directly from the "Politehnica" University of Bucharest, where he has had over 4 years’ experience as a Team Lead for the Microsoft Student Partners program.

In the last 5 years he's focused on everything around Virtualization technologies, including Server Virtualization, VDI solutions and System Center to manage it all. In the last year, he has also added Azure IaaS to his list of favorite skills.

Petru Jucovschi

Lorant Domokos

Lorant Domokos likes to explore cutting edge technologies and development practices while also trying to practically integrate them into efficient and cost effective enterprise applications. He started out close to the metal with C++ and neural signal processing in the medical field and then shifted to using open web standards in line of business applications.

In the last few years he focused on single page application architectures in a quest to bring the best possible user experiences to largest audience possible. He is an active member of the development community with several presentations on modern web techniques. Always with an eye on code quality and reusability he is pushing the web the furthest it can go. He was a lead developer at Fortech and moonlighting as an enterprise mobility consultant working on projects deployed in Germany and New York.

Last year he joined Microsoft Office Division in Oslo where is working on the search and a more social enterprise through the Office Graph.

Florin Cardașim

Răzvan Rusu

Răzvan Rusu works at Ecko Systems & Consulting and for the last four years he has been gathering experience in Microsoft techonologies based on his background in IT consultancy and training. These were also the trigger for him becoming a Microsoft Specialist and MCSE.

He is a student at "Politehnica" University of Bucharest, where he followed Tiberiu Radu's Team Lead position for the Microsoft Student Partners program. Florin Loghiade

Florin Loghiade is an IT consultant with a huge passion for virtualization and cloud technologies. For the last three years he has been a Microsoft Student Partner and in that time he became a Microsoft Specialist on Private Cloud using the System Center family. In his first year as a Microsoft Student Partner, Florin got to the final stage of ImagineCup Romania and after that he won RestartEDU.

Lately he got promoted to the rank of Team Lead in the Microsoft Student Partner program taking on the challenges of managing a new team and driving it to success.

Radu Vunvulea

Radu Vunvulea is a senior software engineer at iQuest, working on LoB application using Microsoft technologies. He has a vast experience on different platforms from mobile and web to backend solution deployed on on-premise and in the cloud.

He worked on different fields such as e-commerce, pharma, automoto, logistics, home automation and transportation. He is very active at offline events in Romania, where he is not only a speaker, but he is also an organizer. In the online world he writes technical posts on his blog.

Mihai Tătăran

Mihai Tătăran is the General Manager of Avaelgo, a software consulting and custom development company based in Romania, and an MVP on Windows Azure and Windows Azure Insider. Lately Mihai had an extensive experience with Windows Azure: completed solutions for different customers, and delivering the Microsoft DPE training on Azure for partners in Romania. One of those projects made it to a Case Study on Microsoft .com website, and his company Avaelgo was nominated as Cloud SME of the Month in Europe in May 2012.

Tudor Damian works as an IT consultant and technical trainer, his company offering outsourced IT support services.
